🛣️ Colored Ceramic Anti-Slip Granules are high-hardness fired ceramic aggregates developed for colored high-friction pavement systems.
When broadcast over a compatible two-component resin binder, the granules form a textured, wear-resistant surface that improves tire and pedestrian grip while providing clear color identification.
The product is suitable for properly prepared asphalt and concrete surfaces and is widely used on parking ramps, pedestrian bridges, bus lanes, bicycle paths, municipal warning zones and landscape roads.
The ceramic aggregate is colored through a high-temperature firing process for stable outdoor appearance. Regular red, yellow and gray products are commonly available, while green, blue, black and project-specific colors can be supplied subject to sample and production confirmation.

Special colors can be matched to a supplied sample or color reference. Because ceramic aggregate is mineral based, slight batch variation may occur. One production batch is recommended for visually continuous areas.
Recommended Substrate Preparation
The pavement must be structurally sound, dry and free from dust, loose aggregate, oil, standing water and weak old coating.
Old or powdering concrete should be mechanically ground or shot-blasted, repaired where necessary and treated with a compatible primer before resin application.
Dense asphalt may require a different preparation procedure. A trial area and adhesion test are recommended before full construction.
Recommended Application Procedure
1. Prepare the Pavement
Clean, repair and dry the asphalt or concrete substrate. Mask the treatment area to obtain clean boundaries.
2. Apply Primer When Required
Use a substrate-compatible primer on porous, weak or specified surfaces and allow it to reach the required condition.
3. Mix the Resin Binder
Mix the two-component road-surfacing binder strictly according to the confirmed ratio and working time.
4. Spread the Binder
Use a squeegee or suitable tool to spread a uniform resin layer at the specified consumption rate.
5. Broadcast Ceramic Granules
Apply the colored granules while the binder remains workable. Broadcast enough material to obtain complete, even coverage.
6. Cure and Recover Excess Aggregate
After full curing, sweep, vacuum or blow off loose excess granules. Clean and uncontaminated material may be reused when permitted by the project procedure.
7. Open to Traffic
Traffic may reopen only after the resin has cured sufficiently and the completed surface has passed site inspection. Typical curing may take approximately 2–6 hours, depending on binder type, temperature, thickness and weather.
Important Construction Notes

Q1: Are the granules supplied with the resin binder?

Q2: Can custom blue or green colors be produced in small quantities?
Regular blue and green options may be available. Special colors can be matched from a sample or color reference, subject to minimum production quantity and technical confirmation.
Q3: Can the granules be applied directly to old, sandy concrete?
No. Weak concrete must first be ground and cleaned, and damaged areas should be repaired. A compatible interface primer is normally required before the resin and granules are applied.
Q4: Are the granules suitable for wet pedestrian bridges and ramps?
They are commonly used in these areas because the textured aggregate can improve surface grip. Actual wet-skid performance depends on the complete system design and construction quality.
Q5: How soon can a parking ramp reopen?
Typical reopening may be possible after approximately 2–6 hours with a fast-curing compatible binder. Low temperature, high humidity or thick application may require a longer curing period.
Q6: Can excess granules be recovered?
Yes. Loose granules that remain clean and have not bonded to the resin can be collected after curing and reused where the construction specification allows.
