Products Description
ACRYLIC COLD-APPLIED ROAD MARKING PAINT
Fast-Drying Single-Component Traffic Paint for Asphalt Pavement
Acrylic cold-applied road marking paint is a ready-to-use, single-component traffic coating designed primarily for asphalt pavement marking.
Unlike thermoplastic marking materials, it does not require high-temperature melting. The paint can be applied using suitable spraying, rolling or brushing equipment at ambient temperature.
The coating provides clear daytime visibility, fast drying, good adhesion and practical abrasion resistance for municipal roads, parking areas, industrial sites and routine road-marking maintenance.
Standard colors include white, medium yellow, deep yellow, orange-yellow and blue. Customized colors can be produced according to project samples or color references.
⚡ FAST-DRYING FORMULA
The tested white and yellow samples both recorded a dry-to-no-pickup time of 12 minutes under laboratory conditions.
Fast drying helps:
✓ Reduce road closure time
✓ Improve construction efficiency
✓ Minimize traffic disruption
✓ Support small and medium maintenance projects
✓ Allow faster completion of parking and municipal work
Actual drying time varies with temperature, humidity, film thickness, pavement condition and thinner addition.
🪣 READY-TO-USE SINGLE-COMPONENT SYSTEM
This product is supplied as a single-component coating.
It does not require A/B component mixing or chemical hardener dosing, making construction easier for small teams and routine maintenance projects.
Before application:
Stir the paint thoroughly
Confirm that no sediment remains at the bottom
Adjust viscosity only when necessary
Use only the recommended matching thinner
Do not mix with incompatible solvents
Excessive thinner can reduce covering power, film thickness, drying performance and durability.
🔗 ADHESION TO ASPHALT PAVEMENT
The acrylic resin system is designed to bond effectively to properly prepared asphalt surfaces.
For reliable adhesion, the pavement must be:
✓ Clean
✓ Completely dry
✓ Free from dust
✓ Free from oil and grease
✓ Free from loose aggregate
✓ Free from poorly bonded old paint
New asphalt should be allowed to stabilize before marking. A small trial area is recommended when the pavement contains surface oil, curing residue or an unfamiliar asphalt formulation.
For concrete application, surface preparation and a compatible primer may be required. Conduct an adhesion test before large-scale construction.
🛡️ PRACTICAL WEAR RESISTANCE
The cured coating provides abrasion resistance suitable for routine traffic marking applications.
The supplied test reports recorded abrasion-loss results of:
White coating: 36.0 mg
Yellow coating: 30.5 mg
Actual durability depends on:
✓ Traffic volume
✓ Vehicle type
✓ Braking and turning frequency
✓ Applied film thickness
✓ Pavement texture
✓ Surface preparation
✓ Local climate
High-wear intersections, heavy-truck turning areas and expressway projects should use the film thickness and reflective system specified in the engineering design.
☀️ OUTDOOR WEATHER PERFORMANCE
The acrylic coating is formulated for outdoor pavement use and provides resistance to normal:
✓ Sunlight exposure
✓ Rainfall
✓ Seasonal temperature changes
✓ Road dust
✓ Traffic abrasion
✓ Municipal cleaning
Actual service life varies with construction quality, traffic conditions, pavement stability and environmental exposure.
🎨 AVAILABLE COLORS

Customized Colors
Red, green, grey, black and other project colors can be produced subject to sample confirmation and production requirements.
Color appearance may vary under different lighting conditions. Project colors should be approved using a physical sample before bulk production.

🧰 APPLICATION METHODS
Airless Spray
Recommended for efficient application of long road lines and larger municipal projects.
Conventional Spray
Suitable when the paint viscosity and spray equipment are correctly matched.
Roller Application
Suitable for parking spaces, symbols, arrows and small maintenance areas.
Brush Application
Suitable for edges, details, numbers and localized repair work.
For reflective markings, compatible drop-on glass beads may be applied while the paint surface is still wet.
🏗️ APPLICATION PROCEDURE
1. Inspect the Pavement
Confirm that the asphalt surface is stable, clean and completely dry.
2. Clean the Surface
Remove dust, loose aggregate, mud, oil, grease and poorly bonded old paint.
3. Mark the Layout
Use chalk lines, masking tape or suitable road-layout equipment to establish the required marking position.
4. Stir the Paint
Mechanically stir until the color and consistency are completely uniform.
5. Adjust Viscosity if Required
Add only the recommended special thinner and use the minimum quantity required for the selected equipment.
6. Apply the Paint
Apply evenly by spraying, rolling or brushing at the specified width and film thickness.
7. Apply Glass Beads if Required
Distribute compatible drop-on beads immediately after paint application while the surface remains receptive.
8. Protect the Marking
Prevent vehicles, pedestrians, water and contamination from contacting the paint before it reaches sufficient dryness.
🌡️ APPLICATION CONDITIONS
Recommended Application Temperature: 5–45°C
Optimal Working Temperature: Approximately 20°C
Do not apply when:
The pavement is wet
Rain is expected before drying
Surface condensation is present
The pavement contains oil or loose material
Wind may cause excessive spray drift
Ambient conditions prevent normal solvent evaporation
Low temperatures and high humidity may extend drying time. High temperatures may shorten working time and increase solvent evaporation.
⚖️ THEORETICAL MATERIAL CONSUMPTION
Material consumption depends on paint density, wet-film thickness, pavement texture and application loss.
As a general purchasing reference:
Smooth pavement and thin application require less material
Rough asphalt absorbs more paint
Repainting old lines may require additional material
Spray equipment normally produces some application loss
Drop-on glass beads should be calculated separately
Provide the following information for a project estimate:
Total marking length
Marking width
Required film thickness
Pavement condition
Application method
Number of coats

❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q1: Does this paint require a hardener?
No. It is a single-component coating and does not require Component B or a separate hardener.
Q2: Is the paint ready to use?
The paint should be stirred thoroughly before use. A small amount of matching thinner may be added when required by the application equipment.
Q3: How quickly does it dry?
The tested white and yellow samples both recorded a dry-to-no-pickup time of 12 minutes under laboratory conditions. Actual drying time depends on site conditions.
Q4: Can ordinary thinner be used?
Using an unknown thinner is not recommended. An incompatible solvent may cause separation, poor drying, reduced adhesion or color variation. Use the matching thinner supplied or approved by the manufacturer.
Q5: Can it be applied to concrete?
The product is primarily recommended for asphalt. Concrete application may require mechanical preparation and a compatible primer. Conduct a test area before full construction.
Q6: Can reflective glass beads be applied?
Yes. Compatible drop-on glass beads can be distributed while the paint surface is still wet.
Q7: Can custom colors be produced?
Yes. Custom colors can be matched according to a physical sample or agreed color reference.
Q8: Is this a low-VOC or solvent-free product?
No such claim should be made. The supplied reports recorded VOC values of 331 g/kg for white and 321 g/kg for yellow. Appropriate ventilation and handling controls are required.
Q9: How long will the marking last?
Service life depends on traffic, pavement condition, film thickness, application quality and climate. A fixed lifespan cannot be guaranteed without reviewing the project conditions.
Q10: What packaging is available?
The standard export packaging is 25 KG per metal pail.
